Shared Resources

Access to state-of-the-art equipment, resources, and expertise enables our investigators and physician scientists to conduct meaningful research that quickly translates into new treatments and potential cures. The MCW Cancer Center currently manages six robust shared resources to support innovative and impactful cancer research.

Biorepository and Tissue Analytics

The Biorepository and Tissue Analytics Shared Resource supports cancer research by providing MCW Cancer Center members with human tissues and other biospecimens, biospecimen processing services and expertise, and histopathology and advanced tumor analytics.

Biostatistics

The Biostatistics Shared Resource supports the spectrum of cancer-related research activities, including: experimental design, sample size calculation, randomization, analysis plans, data analysis, grant and manuscript preparation, full clinical trial support, and innovative targeted methods development.

Cell Therapy 

The Cell Therapy Shared Resource provides state-of-the-art production and processing of cell therapy products, innovative on-site CAR-T cell manufacturing and processing, and immuno-oncology consulting services, access to instrumentation for immune profiling and monitoring, and educational workshops.

Leveraging the power of data, the Geospatial, Epidemiology and Outcomes Shared Resource catalyzes innovative translational and population-based cancer research, with an emphasis on cancer disparities.

Shared Resources Acknowledgement

A condition for using MCW Cancer Center supported Shared Resources is that each Shared Resource is acknowledged in the publication. These acknowledgments enable the Cancer Center to measure and document Shared Resource productivity, impact, and service to members.
